Fashion Week Trends in the Hudson Valley

September 25, 2017

Fall fashion week in NYC just wrapped up, which means it is time to incorporate all the latest trends into your wardrobe. The key to working new styles into your everyday looks is to dare yourself to wear something new. You never know how much you may end up loving it!

Here are a few of our favorite NYFW picks:

Orange Overload

Thought orange was only a summer color? Think again. This season, burnt orange, amber, and clementine are the hues to rock. If you are wary of bright colors, go for an amber sweater paired with jeans to balance it out. If bold isn't a problem, pick up a clementine handbag or bright orange scarf. You'll make a statement in the best way possible.

Sporty, Not Sloppy

If you live in athletic gear, then you will be head over heels for this trend. Stylish sportswear was all over the runway (hello Fenty <3). To wear this in the real world, go for fitted athletic tops or graphic leggings paired with chic utility jackets. Balancing casual and classy is key to mastering athletic luxe. Luckily, we've got you covered on both fronts at Simplicity. Our selection of Lululemon and Athleta can't be beat!

Romantic Bohemian

Perhaps our favorite style of all, romantic bohemian is the look to work into your closet. To copy the runway, pick out dark florals, fringe, nubby knits, and flowing scarves. The overall ensemble will exude an effortless coolness that works just as well for casual weekends as it does for nights out on the town.
