Fall is known to be many fashionistas’ favorite season.

That is, Layering season!

The cool crisp fall air allows us to express ourselves with fun patterns, warm colors and heavy jewelry. Although its sad to see our favorite strappy sandals and cut off shorts get stowed away until next year, you know you are all secretly happy to finally cuddle up in your favorite chunky sweater and print scarf.

Here at Simplicity we have been taking in fall merchandise for the past two weeks and have received so many amazing, unique, and beautiful pieces. From warm sweater sets to long patterned skirts to the perfect closed toed pumps, we cannot get enough of these amazing layering options.

So don’t be shy! Mix and match patterns, textures, and colors. Then jazz it up with a detailed necklace, or statement bracelet. Break out those scarves and learn new ways to tie and drape them! The options are limitless and here are a few of ours:

Unique Jewelry

A piece of jewelry can do so much for an outfit. A simple necklace can turn an all black outfit into a fashion statement. Some of an outfits most unique accessories are necklaces and bracelets. What girl wouldn’t want to be complimented on a piece of jewelry she spent her whole paycheck on?

The items above and below are from the Elements collection by Jill Schwarts. The necklace above combines two different chains for a unique twist in size and pattern. The two separate chains meet in the middle at a mixture of eclectic finds. The use of color and space are make for an interesting find and can add a rare piece to your otherwise bland wardrobe.

This piece above is also apart of Jill Schwarts collection.Also blending different chains, yet in a different fashion. Above the chains are brought together to create the illusion of there being more than one necklace. Here the charms and distinguishing pieces are dangling or hanging from the chains. Both pieces are equally beautiful and distinctive and make for desirable jewels for any girl.

Above this cuff like necklace is anything but ordinary and far from casual. The pattern the rhinestones is sure to give a beautiful detail to any little black dress or top.

Whether it is a string of pearls, pearl earrings, or a mixture of colorful pearls and beads, you can never go wrong with pearls. A very classic look can add a sophisticated touch to any look. Put a modern twist to a classic look and pair them up with other jewelry and patterned tops. Or stay classic and drown your neck with pearls and a classic simple black dress. Either way you can’t go wrong.

On April 21st, 2012, Simplicity will be hosting it’s second Tag Sale with merchandise from the fall and winter season. All items will be priced between $5 and $10!

Proceeds from this tag sale will benefit the Dutchess County SPCA, whose mission is to “…rescue, shelter, and secure permanent homes for adoptable companion animals; advocate for the highest standards of animal care; and enforce animal cruelty laws throughout Dutchess County.”

In addition to the tag sale, Simplicity will be partnering up with local businesses in the community from 12 – 4pm, to help raise proceeds for this great cause!
